230 units of air-conditioning from 1.5hp to 5.0hp valued about RM1.5million were replace at the main intake substation (PMU) Kelantan, Terengganu, Johor, Perak, Kedah & P.Pinang. The PMU areas covered were PMU Kota Setar (Kedah), PMU Gelugor (P.Pinang), PMU Kuala Kangsar (Perak), PMU Rengit (Johor), PMU Dungun (Terengganu) and PMU Pasir Puteh (Kelantan).

Having difficulty in installing air-conditioning in some PMU areas because of narrow and high areas. Installing an air conditioner in the proper way and right position is increasingly important as it has a significant impact on its energy efficiency.
Solution
Make sure all the technician wear safety equipment such as safety harness, safety helmet and safety boot to prevent any on-site incident. We also established a collective protective measures covering numbers of employees in a workplace must have priority over protective measures applying to individual employees.
Results
We successfully complete all the installation with no on-site injury and all the air-conditioners installed were function well.
